But I have noticed many of you are using tools that I have not seen yet.
Could you guys please clarify which software / tools these are?

thanks for getting back. how does that work? is it groupseotool.com ? I just had a quick look, they provide chrome extentions?I use ahrefs through the group seo tools and pay around 7 usd monthly. You have some limits, but for now it will be more than enough. You can also buy combo for 15-17 usd (depends on the provider) with all most popular tools combined.
