What is your thoughts whatsapp and people reading messages and not replying ?

I was wondering, what are your thoughts about whatsapp and someone reading messages but not responding at all ?

So I sent a couple of messages to a friend, then a couple more. They have been read but has not responded.

Do you think they are un-interested ?
