That is a very elusive answer. Is there such as thing as "Asian cheese" like a brand of cheese only produced in Asia?
Ah right.. Yeah I thought it just must be the case that the economy there doesn't really support cheese production or somethingI love cheese. I am from Asia. We don't have good cheeses here (except for some occasional gouda cheese that vanishes like hot cake from the market..in a day.).

Pretty sure it is a combination of things. First is the high temperature and humidity, which isn't really suitable (the occasional gourmet varieties are generally made in the mountain regions). Secondly, people here have many fresh alternative like milk based sweets, paneers, ghee (clarified butter) and literally thousands of other things. As a result, people don't really use the milk for cheese making.
