Plagiarism Checkers - Are they all rubbish?

I am pretty new to this but I have tested many of the tools mentioned on bhw, None of the ones I have tested seems to be reliable so far.

When I add the same text to all of them, i get completely different results. And results could vary from 100% unique to 0% unique for the very same text.

For example a new article that I have asked to be written from a content writer on bhw did pass copyscape, whereas the text is only %34 unique on 1text.com . and when I check manually the matched sources provided on 1text.com i can clearly see that the text is almost identical. this text got 23% on quetext free version. and also found the same source as 1text.com

Another example was a Re-write. (not sure why i tried that, but I will probably never try that again. as I am new to SEO, wanted to see different types of services provided here) Obviously the article provided was well re-written, but I could clearly see that they were pretty much identical. the new article passed copyscape and quetext free but again was easily figured out on 1text.com with 30% uniqueness which has matched it to the original article I provided.

For a change, I have tried one of my blog posts, which was not indexed by google. This time however, copyscape did find my article, however 1text.com and quetex couldn't find any plagiarism.

I have not tried grammarly and quetex pro yet, as I thought I have already spent enough on plagiarism checkers. And wanted to get more feedback, before spending any more on plagiarism checkers.

What are your thoughts? Is grammarly worth a try? Does Quetex Pro gets better results than the free version? Or none of the plagiarism checkers could be trusted? Which one is the best according to your experience? And please don't mention copyscape as it's even worse than the free ones.

More words you enter, more confused they are and probably of 0 results found goes higher.

I use Copyscape (premium) and I always enter 2 paragraphs max at a time. Yes, it costs more credits byt its much more accurate.

Try inserting 2 paragraphs instead of whole piece

I use Grammarly and it works like a charm. It is the best plagiarism checker for me personally. Haven't tried Quetext but I heard it is also very good.

copyscape premium is good but recently on BHW I found out that Quetext is much better, and something all should consider migrating to for their plagrism checks. So op check quetext out and you can even check via copyscape for further precautions

In addition to plagiarism checkers, Try pasting sentences on Google search. Most tools tend to automate this.

I just tried pasting smaller texts from the recent articles I mentioned above, but it still couldn't find any results. Also i have to say that this is not very practical.
For a paid service, I still think copyscape is just rubbish. I think you should seriously check your articles on other checkers, and you might be surprised.

Thanks, honestly I'm not sure how we could say "good" to copyscape from my experiences so far. Could it be that most ppl here are referring to past experiences and have not checked/compared copyscape recently? As for Quetext, the free version was better than copyscape but not as good as the free 1text.com , but I am wondering if the pro version is better as they mention "DeepSearch??? Extended" on the pro version, but there isnt much info on how different it is than the free version.

Nah, as per my experience Grammarly is not a reliable option for plagiarism check.
With a few lines of text Testing on Both Quetext and 1text works perfectly
( Long paragraphs shows 0 zero plagiarism even if it's 100% plagiarised I tested on my own articles with 1K+ WORDS / 2K+ WORDS etc )
The accuracy levels go down as the word count goes up it's 100% true

I have to check those two.

It's been a while since I updated my arsenal in this area.

I don't recommend using Grammarly as a plagiarism tool as even if you modify some words from an article, it tends to show an article as unique. Copyscape is better than other tools and 1text.com is fine as well.

I know different tools give different results... that's why I use 2 tools and 1text.com is one of them.
If either tool doesn't show 100% then I investigate.

Grammarly is a shit when it comes to plagiarism. I don't know how experienced you are and did you checked with other tools but I highly recommend you to try something else

sure, but pasting sentences seems time consuming, just like pasting paragraphs to some tools as some others suggested above. Also I think this would not work for even slightly spinned articles? Wouldn't this only work for content that was copied word by word?

Thanks for your feedback. For me so far, copying small paragraphs or larger ones did not change the results at all.

Thanks, if grammarly is even worse than compyscape, I'll probably pass it.

Quetext and Copyscape Premium works fine..try that..

indeed, I have started using a mix of 1text.com + copyscape. these 2 tools seems to have different methods, that's why if one them them fails to find plagiarism, the other one seems finds it

thanks for the feedback. so far people seems not happy about grammarly, but I wanted to ask, when was the last time you used grammarly? I was wondering if it was recently, because i have tested the free tool a few times, and it says "plagiarism found" even on texts that passed copyscape and 1text.com , but since i only use the free version it does not show the sources matched.

thank you, quetext and copyscape tends to find similar results, I got better results by using 1text + copyscape.

As per my experience both Quetext and Copyscape are excellent tools for plagarism checker

I use Grammarly and Copyscape. However, I rely more on the latter since it is more advance IMO.

Agreed. Copyscape is my go to when I need to consult a reliable checker. I also agree and can confirm that it seems to work better on smaller chunks of text.

Check out Copyscape and Quetext.

We already tried Copyscape, Grammarly, and Quetext (all premium versions).

Quetext is the best among the three. This observation is based on years' worth of usage.

Indeed. I use both. But i think quetext is better than grammarly found more matching lines. Even re-written paragraphs more efficiently.
