For 1 month now I am building a blog on a clean expired domain with decent authority and good backlinks. After 10 days my keywords started to rank well and I started to get some traffic from google. Then after the big update on AUG10 everything went down and now I am hardly visible on google. My kewords mostly disappeared from google and it's like I am not there at all. I added more than 25 articles now in four weeks and waiting for mr. google to do something. I regulary appear on bing and yahoo, but google is now ignoring me.

In GSC there are no backlinks at all, although I added around 20 good backlinks and these are visible in ahrefs. Is it possible that GSC is that slow? I had a jump from 50M to 15M ranking in ahrefs and I am still raising.

Has anyone had the similar problem with the good start and then big fall in google? Does it means something is wrong with my content (it is good quality and unique - on level with these on page 1 in serp for that keywords), or it is just normal start on expired domain? I said, everything happened after the last big update. People are telling me to go on with the good content and doing backlinks and the results will come. Any suggestions?

It could be google dance, which is expected for new sites.
Audit the site if you want another pair of eyes to have a look.

did you check for manual penalty if its not that continue adding content and backlinks and check after a month
no manual penaties, all looking good in GSC, I was just wondering if anyone had the similar experience. Maybe with expired domains or some similar google behavior

Given that you???ve ruled out a potential penalty, it???s likely just a bad case of Google dance. The recent update may have made it worse, though there???s no way to be sure. As you???ve said, you???re ranking well in other search engines, as confirmed by Ahrefs. Just be patient and it should sort itself out.

Is it possible that Google decided my content is not quality enough or that something is missing there, so they just started it to ignore it? Without any visible penalty?
