I believe its a matter of dosage as some people have entered "DMT" Hyperspace on mushrooms, including McKenna. Orwhere with DMT that is not possible in the same way because of the nature of the trip.
Kilindi Iyi (RIP). Its just, like you said ...not common to take a "proper" dose, while DMT sort of lends itself to smoking enough to shoot yourself way out of your body. Big Doses of LSD i would not want to take bc of the duration, but lemon tekked mushrooms last around 4h in my experience so not too different to ayahuasca. I do find that ayahuasca tends to be a bit more of a visionary, guided experience while mushrooms sometimes play tricks on you in a way. A bit harsher as a teacher if you will, more "tough love". Still would recommend introspective experiences. Loved to stay in bed and wait for it to come one and have an introspective beginning, and then explore the nearby park later, and celebrate nature.
Ayahuasca is not needed. It is a very good psychedelic and especially good in a healing context as it can sometimes feel as if there's is a healer inside it, doing magic on you while you glide through artful wonderlands of porcelain and gold. Mushrooms are super accessible and can provide you with what you need to get started. If.... you decide to partner with them in a healing context. I would recommend a medium Dose of properly vaped DMT though. This sounds like a bad idea, but it lasts only a few minutes and can give you a good intro as to what is "out there". That alone can dwarf your depression for some time and give you hope that these things that are ...out there....can have profound impact and are worth exploring...exploring life itself if you will. Take all the wonder and glory, zip it, put it in your brain...then....wooosh...decompress. You will know very soon where this can take you. Sounds very mysterious to the uninitiated, but it really is not the moment you experience it... Normal to go "oh yeah thats IT how could i not see that all my life!"Ive been battling depression for almost 3 years now and ive heard about this on a netflix series. Really wanted to try it out but due to the current pandemic situation, travelling is really hard.
