Hi guys,
hope my topic fits well into this White HAT SEO.
I was always looking for a blazing fast theme for my news site. I lost around 80% of my traffic in May Algo update and struggling a bit with my site. I changed 3 themes in the last few days. For now, I use Herald which is from my point of view quite nice and fast (I used the longest time newspaper theme, then I tried zeen, and Soledad) My challenge was always to get both mobile and desktop in google pagespeed over 90s. I tried WP Rocket, added Autooptimize... no way. Especially after adding some google AdSense the site speed was going down dramatically. Then I found this little plugin online: https://wordpress.org/plugins/core-web-vitals-optimization/#reviews
With one click I was 93/98 OMG what happened... lol I cannot explain. My problem is - it says its not fixing everything but applying some basic stuff. So what did they do? No clue, but my site works and is fast. WTF... my problem is, it says: Valid till: 2020-09-11 Means it will stay improved only until Sep 11th. I could find their service on the website, they ask 250 EUR per year :/
Any similar tools / plugins? And ideas how to improve the google core vitals etc?
